Global Sinhala Dhamma Discussion Series (Teleconference): 5th Meeting (Sep 1, 2007)

The teleconference on Saturday, Sep 1, 2007, 7:00PM-9:00PM (EST), will be conducted by a panel consisting of all participating venerable monks.

The discussion will be moderated and led by Ven. D. Indarathana of Great Lakes Buddhist Vihara, Michigan.

The topic for this meeting will be: "How would you identify and be in righteous association (friends, environment, requisites, etc.)?"

Weekly Sinhala Dhamma Discussion goes Global!

Due to the numerous requests that we received from our friends outside the North America, and also due to continued success that we had over the last four weeks in our Dhamma discussion, we have decided to go global with our weekly Sinhala Dhamma Discussion (On Saturdays, 7:00PM - 9:00PM EST)!

We are pleased to inform you that we will be able to support a total of 500 connections worldwide over the telephone as well as internet VOIP facilitated through Skype (http://www.skype.com/) for our weekly meetings, with effect from coming Saturday, Sep 1, 2007. With the unique setup that we will be utilizing, the conference participants will be able to join the Dhamma discussion seamlessly with either a traditional telephone call or over internet Skype.

Furthermore, in addition to the main Teleconference bridge in USA, participants from 10 European countries will have the option to use local telephone numbers to join the conference. Sinhala Dhamma Discussion Series (Teleconference) - 2nd Meeting (Aug 11, 2007)

The teleconference on Saturday, Aug 11, 2007, 7:00PM-9:00PM (EST), will be led by Ven. P. Sathi of Triple Gem of the North Buddhist Organization in Minnesota. This Dhamma Discussion will be based on Mahanama Sutra.

Ven. Sathi has made a sinhala transcript of this Suthra available for those who wish to review it prior to the discussion.

Inaugural Meeting (Aug 4, 2007)

Inaugural Meeting of our Sinhala Dhamma Discussion (Teleconference) was a great success with participants from a number places in North America. Many thanks to those who attended it. The dhamma discussion was led by Ven. B. Muditha of Great Lakes Buddhist Vihara. There were a number of other venerable monks joined the discussion from Chicago (IL) and Mankato (MN), as well.
